Epstein and Bohan pearls

They are small whitish-yellow cysts of 2-3 mm pearls and mobile, are full of protein. They are in the margin of the gums (Bohan), or in the midline of the palate (the Epstein) of a newborn (only) Around to 80% of babies FH.
The condition is harmless and does not affect breastfeeding, but sometimes worries new mothers especially first-time, and that can sometimes be confused with emerging teeth or thrush, which is an injury caused by a fungus called Candida albicans.
Through physical examination can identify the lesions correspond to Epstein pearls and not teeth present at birth, also called natal teeth or algondoncillo.
They are also called gingival cysts of the newborn.
